Banana Bread Bites

These banana bread bites are a perfect little snacks and made with simple, wholesome ingredients. Plus, they’re ready in minutes!

Energy bites are a perfect grab-and-go breakfast that you can make ahead and bring in a tupperware (all about that tuptup life am I right?) but they’re not limited to breakfast. You can enjoy these bites as a snack or dessert as well. I love eating one of two of these bites before a run in the morning so they fuel me but don’t make me feel heavy.

You only need a handful of ingredients for these bites, likely ingredients you already have in your kitchen. Grab your food processor and get ready to make some energy balls!

You will need:

rolled oats

dates

coconut oil

banana

cinnamon

chia seeds

sesame seeds

chocolate chips

Banana Bread Bites (makes 10)

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup dates
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Place the dates in a food processor and pulse. Add the banana and melted coconut oil. Blitz until they form a smooth, thick paste. It will look like caramel – thanks to the delicious dates.
  2. Place the date mixture into a bowl. Add the oats, cinnamon, chia seeds and sesame seeds and chocolate chips. Mix.
  3. Form into balls and enjoy! Bites can be stored in the fridge for up to 1 week.

happy cooking,

Sarah
