Hummus is the glue that holds my life together!
Seriously, is there any better spreadable substance than hummus? Okay, maybe hummus is tied with fresh guacamole for me but on the plus side, you never need to wait for chickpeas to ripen (lol) like with avocados.
If you’ve never made homemade hummus, today is your day! It is so easy and so worth it. First, you’re saving money. 4-5$ per small container adds up QUICK! Second, you control what goes inside ingredient-wise. Don’t like tahini, skip it. Love garlic? Add it, and so on.. Last but not least, it makes a big batch! Over 2 cups of fresh hummus in under 10 minutes? YES PLEASE!

- 1 19 oz can chickpeas
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 3-4 tbsp olive oil
- juice of 1 medium/large-sized lemon
- pink himalayan sea salt to taste
- Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. Enjoy with carrots, celery, peppers, tortillas chips, pita bread or whatever else you love. Enjoy!
