No-Bake Chocolate Protein Bars

You just finished a workout and you need a snack STAT! Have no fear, these chocolate protein bars are in your fridge and here to save the day!

Pro tip: Make these ahead of time and store them in the fridge so you won’t even have to think about it after a workout when the hunger hits like a hurricane.


I am a chocoholic and there is no denying that. Guys, I would not survive in a world without chocolate. Chocolate increases the levels of endorphins in the brain. I honestly LOVE endorphins – that’s why I love working out, especially running. I can’t describe the feeling I feel after a run better than with the word happy – runner’s high is a real thing! For the runners out there, you know what I’m taking about. Anyone who doesn’t like running, just find an exercise you love and stick with it. Consistency is key! Getting your heart rate up and boosting endorphins does so much good for the body in every aspect!

So now you know why I love chocolate and running so much – they both make me feel so happy! Oh those beautiful endorphins!



The way you refuel after a workout is just as important as the workout itself. You want to get a good amount of protein!

I enjoy making these chocolate protein bars so I have a snack ready after a run or workout! I used a new protein powder in these bars. It’s Naked Nutrition’s grass-fed whey protein. First of all, I love their little slogan “with nothing to hide” that they add to their products. They pride themselves in producing real, non-GMO protein powders filled with amazing good-for-you ingredients. For example, in the protein I used, the only ingredient is grass-fed whey protein, as it should be! This whey protein is also hormone-free and has no artificial sweeteners, flavours, or colours.

You can enjoy these bars with whatever toppings your heart desires. I love banana chips and/or chocolate chips. Sometimes I substitute the chocolate chips for a chocolate drizzle – see the picture below.


No-Bake Chocolate Protein Bars (makes 6 bars)


  • 1 cup oat flour
  • 1/2 cup protein powder (I’m using Naked Nutrition’s grass-fed whey protein)
  • 4 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup brown rice syrup (or honey)
  • 1/8 cup almond milk
  • chocolate chips and/or banana chips as mixings or toppings (optional)


  1. Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix to combine.
  2. Add the peanut butter, brown rice syrup and almond milk. Mix until incorporated.
  3. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Press into a parchment paper-lined loaf pan (you can also use a tupperware). Refrigerate for 1 hour to set. Cut into bars and enjoy!
