Pineapple Salsa

Get your chips ready for this tropical pineapple salsa!

Today is international pineapple day and this tropical salsa is the perfect way to celebrate! It’s fruity, refreshing and great with your favorite tortilla chips. This salsa also goes great in tacos, adding a nice tangy flavour. This salsa takes minutes to make and is even quicker if using canned pineapple. Plus, using canned pineapple prevents potential injuries because let’s be honest, slicing pineapples is a struggle sometimes.

This salsa is perfect for a summer picnic or to bring to the beach!

You will need:

avocado

pineapple

cilantro

red onion

lime

cayenne

sea salt & pepper

Pineapple Salsa

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups pineapple chunks
  • 2 avocados, cubed
  • 1/4 red onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp cilantro, chopped
  • juice of 1/2 lime
  • cayenne to taste
  • sea salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, combine pineapple chunks, cubed avocado, diced red onion and cilantro.
  2. Add the juice of 1/2 lime, cayenne and salt and pepper to taste. Mix to incorporate. Enjoy with your favorite tortillas chips.
